Based in Christchurch, Bournemouth, Dorset. Specialising in Contemporary British Art.
Ursula makes paintings, prints and drawings responding to the chalk landscape of Cranborne Chase. The work is, to some extent, about current agricultural practises, but firstly is about the formal issues of image making. As she moves more and more away from the subject she is painting, it is the feeling of the subject that comes across which is expressed through colour and of scale and use of space. Recently she has become interested in isolated buildings on the land, structures whose uses are now obscure. Ursula exhibits prolifically across the country and is in many private collections.
