Boo Mallinson
My paintings are inspired by my Dorset surroundings and the sense of being within the landscape. They act like a visual diary, allowing me to express, through paint, my everyday walks and journeys. Initial charcoal drawings form the starting point of my paintings, which then evolve in an organic and intuitive way once back in the studio. Using shape, line, colour and above all light, I hope to allow the viewer the freedom to put their own interpretation into the painting.
I have lived in Dorset for fourteen years, after moving from London where I studied Fine Art at The Byam School of Art and City & Guilds School of Art.
