Laura Bryson

I am a seascape artist living and working from my home in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland. I use acrylic paint and a combination of brushes, palette knives and other tools to create textures, layers and marks on the canvas. I like to let the process of painting take over and find it very therapeutic. My work does not replicate details of particular places but my inspiration comes from regular trips to the County Antrim coast. I prefer to leave a vast, empty horizon so a viewer can be reminded of their own favourite sea view or memory and feel the emotion and atmosphere I have tried to capture in my own way.
